Biography
Standing out with theatrics, intricate arrangements, and deep lyrics, fans describe Demi the Daredevil as “raw, relatable, and also inspirational and unique.” Demi the Daredevil is an Alternative Rock band formed and fronted by Jeff Azar in Austin, TX. Demi draws on the widest variety of influences including Soft Rock, Emo Punk, Classical and Show tune influences to name a few.   Jeff, who started as the drummer of Demi the Daredevil, was forced to be a frontman when lead singer and founder Jovan Ortiz passed away. After a long tumultuous journey of universities, hospitals, band members, and living in attics and teepees, Jeff realized that he could write all of the song parts himself. He released a solo EP called “Secret Schizoid” in October 2016. This quickly garnered a dedicated fanbase around the world who have helped amass 330,000 streams, 24K Instagram followers and over 700 fan art pieces for Demi the Daredevil.    Demi was awarded Runner Up placement at “Song of the Year Competition,” (judged by Dave Grohl and Gwen Stefani) as well as being selected to play at Springboard Music Festival out of 4,000 applicants, completing a US Tour, and receiving an "Artist of the Month" award from the Austin Music Foundation.  Demi the Daredevil has been featured on BuzzFeed, The Pop Song Professor, Infinity on Hannah, Don’t Bore Us, and in October 2019 released a new EP called "Magic+Accidents" produced by Sean O'Keefe (Fall Out Boy).
